Safran and Cenaero confirm their partnership

This June 21, at the Paris Air Show, Safran and Cenaero signed a framework agreement with an extended scope of cooperation. « This agreement covers the fields of fluid mechanics and turbulence modeling, multidisciplinary optimization, manufacturing processes and non-destructive testing applied to aeronautics » shares Eric Dalbiès senior executive vice president R&T and Innovation at Safran.

The extended scope of the agreement includes non-destructive testing, the integration of composite materials into dimensional design, and the optimization of manufacturing processes routing.
Cenaero will deploy its competencies to support Safran group entities to :
• design, develop, improve and support design environments;
• develop, improve and support digital methodologies for design optimization, simulation of manufacturing and control processes, exploiting the latest advances in environments, codes, modeling and data processing tools.
« I am delighted that the Wings project consolidates Cenaero's international positioning. The signing of the extension of its partnership with the Safran group and its participation in multiple Horizon Europe projects highlight this » announces Willy Borsus, vice-president of Wallonia, minister for the Economy, Research and Innovation, the Digital Sector, Agriculture, Town and Country Planning, IFAPME and Competence Centers.
« Cenaero has been a Safran Group research partner since 2007. This is a source of great pride for all Cenaero employees, in Belgium and France, who are looking forward to writing this new page in our partnership and to addressing, together, the key technical challenges underpinning the areas of cooperation with Safran » emphasizes Jean-François Cortequisse, president of Cenaero.
